Has anyone had success in putting a set of tire/wheel brushes in an inverted L touchless automatic? I am thinking of trying to put a CTA and a tire brush on the entrance. I have a pretty big automatic bay and looking for additional profit areas? Also thinking about a second set of blowers as an add up? Thanks for any info.

I've seen in bay tire shines as you pull through the blowers but can't say as I have ever heard of or seen tire/wheel brushes. Are you offering hot wax?

Yes - I saw it a long time ago. Hanna used to manufacture a rollover called the Auto Star Wash Robot - a three brush rollover. I saw several installations in upstate NY that had tire brushes mounted at the entrance of the bay and they would engage as the customer drove in. Have not seen it in probably in 20 years, but they did the trick back then.

This was also at a time when there were a lot more whitewall tires than we see now and that thin type of brush with a stiff bristle was pretty good at getting that white stripe cleaned up on most cars. These days, a larger diameter wheel brush would probably be more useful, but still mounted in the entrance area, as the customer drives in.

I'd be sure to have a good wheel/tire applicator on the front side of these if you decide to install them.
