I would like to get some recommendations from other operators in terms of what type of tire shine you are using in your tunnel? We are currently using Simoniz Pad Perfect which works great but seems so much higher cost wise compared to other tire shines I've seen on the market.

The lack of response seems to be your answer.
I believe all the tire shine machines have thier own issues. We have motor city's for 5 years.
IMO it has issues like all the rest of them - not getting truck/SUV tire coverage properly, sling, one side or the other decides to not put enough tire shine on some tires, etc.

Cost per car varies with type of applicator i.e. Sonny's / Simonize / Belanger Pad Type vs Sonny's / AVY bristle type. VS. Viper machine.
Viper Machine is least expensive to buy and one of the least expensive to maintain, but cost per car is around 50 Cents. Machine maintenance is close to zero. Other machines may cost $10K more to buy and have a .05 cost per car to maintain, with an application cost of 10 cents. So, if you spend $10K more for the machine but 35 cents less per application you break even after about 35000 applications. However there is an aggravation cost which accompanies maintenance.

We prefer a rotating tire shiner with cloth. This seems to work best on all sizes of tires consistently. We replace the brushes every 3 to 4 years. The original Tire Blaze (no longer being made) works the best, we now use the Peco version.
Been looking at the motor city one myself. Do you have the version with the positive displacement pump system? Supposedly injects an exact equal amount across both applicators to avoid oversaturating and "sling"

The Viper unit uses 4 oz per car.
Heck, didn't even know he was selling more than one product. Maybe when I started he had just one. I ma sure Dan @ Viper can tell you. Maybe he can even send you a smaple to try.
i tried at least one other mfgr product and was not happy.
