Touchscreen entry system

I have a customer who is upgrading his automatic and wants to equip it with a touchscreen entry system. So far the two choices are the Hamilton HTK and the Unitec Portal TI. I would appreciate any real world feedback that any of you have had with either. Right now he is talking to the salesmen from both companies, which isn't a bad thing, but the feedback from here is always appreciated. If you decided not to buy either, please say your thoughts on that.

PDQ Access units are awesome and can interface with non-pdq equipment. I replaced my Coleman entry wizards 2 1/2 years ago and am glad I went with PDQ. I don't like that they charge $4k for their optional web interface.

Thanks for the input Buzzie. I'm just leery of entry units made by the manufacturers themselves. In my case because I don't sell PDQ, I wouldn't get any kind of margin to work with, and PDQ has really pi**ed me off in the past.

Mac,
Gotcha, I should have know you were a distributor by now. Wouldn't make sense to recommend these units. I am surprised none of the manufacturers are selling loyalty cards at their entry units. That would make the most sense.

Some of the extra services that the touchscreen systems are capable of are pretty neat IF you have the need for them. Things like ala carte services, buying gift certificates, etc... If you don't need these things though, I'm a big fan of KISS. A touchscreen is one more electronic piece of equipment to go bad, one more thing for people to vandalize and do damage to. Also, a lot of the older individuals, find touch screens to be intimidating and frustrating.

Can't ignore the fact that they do look awesome and impressive though.
