has anyone ever used any sort of de-icing chemical or spray on the RR Tracks that the auto runs up and down on. we have problems with drive wheels slipping on track around 30-32 degrees and then causing wash failure.

You may have to do something to heat them. There are only two ways to keep water from freezing onto something cold, keep it above 32° or keep it dry.

track heat

my tracks look like pipes and have water tubing running thru them which circulates hot water/ antifreeze from a small 5 gallon water heater, controlled by a thermostat. works great.

Coleman mounts copper pipe touching the tracks and recirculates heated anti-freeze solution through them. It is a simple system. You could manufacture your own to do the same thing. All it needs is a solution heating device ( a water heater would work) a recirculating pump, plumbing, and a thermostat.
