Have 5 bays w/ brush system and 1 w/ cleaner going thru wand. Have changed all componets but brushes will not foam.Ck chemical mix and it foams in mix tank. At brush get spurt of liquid and air. Have tried changing presures on air and pump with no change. Using new surflow pump. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Some pictures of the equipment would help.

What "tire foam soap" are you using, what dilution? "Foams in mix tank" is meaningless, a few drops of Dawn will foam in a gallon of water.

Try turning the air down on one bay as low as you can, than start the soap. slowly increase both.

High concentrate foamy tire with .5 metering tip model 509 hydrofill valve. All bays controlled by 1 regulator on air sytem. Have turned air off and adjusted little by little. Acts as restriction on liquid side but can not find anything.

What chemical are you using?

What dilution ratio are you running?

How long have you owned the wash? Do you have Foam Generators? What air pressure are you running the pump? How much air pressure are you mixing with the FB soap. Where does it mix? In the ER or above the bays? Are all the bays the same? These are all details you need to know in order for us to help you with your problem....

Managed for 6 mths. have been resolving lots of problems but this one has me stumped. air presure at 25 and pump running 50 -60 psi mix in er in 10 15 gal tank with hydrostat 506 red metering tip. Have replaced lines in 3 bays and all bays doing the same. Foam gen new at each bay

Red 17-1 metering tip. I would think you'd be getting foam no matter how hard the water is? What kind of foam generators are you using? Home made, store bought? Does the air and FB solution Tee in right before the generator above the bay? What size solution lines are you using? Is there Any Check valves in the system? One thing I noticed is the pump you're using. Not familiar with it, but looking at it on KR's site, max flow is about 1/3 rd that of a G57 Flojet. Wonder if this is your problem?

With Foaming products sometimes less is more.

Are you using needle valves at the solenoids? If not try turning pump PSI down to 30 and air to 10 psi.

To make sure it's not the product squirt some liquid dish soap into the mix tank and see if that foams better.

Something else I just thought of. Do you have an anti syphon hole in the discharge tube going into the hydrominder tank? If you don't, you could have a bad foot valve allowing mixed FB soap to flow back into your main FB soap container. If its allowed to do this long enough, Eventually the concentrate can get so diluted it won't foam. Like Earl said, try adding either dish soap or known good FB soap to the hydrominder tank to see if that works. Then go from there.

UPDATE Found bad regulator and couple of restrictions at manifold. Changed foot valve and readjusted all pres to start point of 20 lbs on flojet pump and 15 lbs on air. To make clear using flojet 57 virtron pump and hydromaster 506 fill valve. Three bays working at this time may need to adj. to liking. Will go thru last ones and hope to find problem there. Gauges may be bad but that is the readings as of this am. I think just alot of maint. that has been let go for to long. Thanks for all advice. Just proccess of elimination.
