Can anyone tell me what I should expect in terms of repairs for a Wesumat and GT300? I am trying to understand how often these will need repair maintenance and how much those repairs should cost? Assume a car wash count of about 50k for the Wesumat and 25k for the GT300.

Should I expect a repair each week, each month or what?
Should those repairs cost $100, $300 or $1000 per incident?

What % of top line revenue do you expend in repairs for your machines in a year?

I'm trying to determine if i'm looking at a lemon or the repairs i'm seeing are typical because the history of the wash i'm evaluating seems pretty high to me. I'm an outsider to the industry and just trying to make sense of it all.
thanks.

Well bluebeard, good luck. At least you came to the right place for advice. The answer is "it depends". Normally you want to do the majority of repairs yourself. If you don't know how to do repairs, you really should have the skills to learn how. learning can be expensive. If you call a factory tech, be his shadow, and ask why he's doing the things he's doing. If he won't, or can't tell you, ask him to leave. Don't be shy, as it's your money he's playing with. Getting a factory tech is a lot like playing the scratch off lotteries. Sometimes you get a good one, and many times you just get someone who changes out expensive parts till the problem goes away. The current condition should tell you a lot. Even a relatively new machine can bite you if it wasn't well maintained. As a thought, you can ask here for a knowledgeable tech to evaluate these. It might cost you a few hundred, but could save you thousands.
