My Superior 700 has a front and rear ultrasonic sensor that size the car.

They have to be programmed at the factory. My question is; what are they programmed for and can this be done at the mfg./ultrasonic distributor as well as at Superior?

The programming is preset to measure distance. It is proprietary, meaning you can't buy it pre-programmed straight from the manufacturer.

Thanks. I am still trying Superior, but I need a couple ultrasonics immediately and that means I have to cover my bases.

I just got the bill for an ultrasonic for my vector--$479- I'm glad i installed it my self. Mine looks just like the iru-2000. from the apg sensors, But putting the software in it can't be that easy.

I think they just set the limits/parameters for distance to the floor.

That's about the price I paid last time I purchased one.
