Hello everyone. Thank you for all the posts. I have a Unitec Electronics wash change dual changer. I bought a cube hopper mkII that dispenses the coins from suzo happ. The part numbers are the same but it just pays out 47 coins each time. I believe this is a safety to prevent it from emptying the hopper on error. My old one would dispense 3-5 quarters for a dollar. My other option is to buy some kind of conversion kit. I can't find a kit for this unit but wonder if kits for a rowe would work? It's a very nice stainless steel enclosure poured into a concrete wall. Thanks for any help.

If it’s over paying the problem would be in the controller not with the Hopper. Call Unitec and see about a replacement control board, if they are still available. The best thing to do would be to replace it with a Standard MC500RL-DA, there about the same size cabinet. Kleen-Rites prices is about as good as it gets $2617.97.

That Standard changer may fit right in. I had looked at an American and was going to have quite a bit of work to make it fit. I think this is the route I'll go. Thanks.

The cabinet on your Unitec changer is about 35” high and 18” wide. The Standard MC500RL-DA cabinet is 32” high and 18” wide. You shouldn’t have any problems putting in the Standard changer. They come standard now with a Coinco Vantage MDB validator. There’s no way I’d ever consider an American changer.

Standard options to add?

I was looking at the Standard website and was thinking of adding the following options. Thoughts? Bill acceptor service fill plate, Rear load install brackets, mc series relay kit, 180 watt heater strip. On the relay kit I just need a set of contacts that will close or any output really that indicates a fault for my existing monitoring system to send me an email.

I have one of these machines. It's been one of the best changers I ever owned. We had the same problem as you: 3 or 5 quarter payout for a dollar. The culprit was the coin chute (sticking quarters). We replaced the original chute with the Unitec "rolling coin chute"(problem solved). Call Unitec, they have always been very helpful to us.
