I have 6 Unitec Wash Select II paystations. All have the IDX multi coin acceptors. They are constantly losing their memory, breaking or something going wrong with them. They are junk! Has any one changed these to a different multi coin unit? I tried putting in a Micro Coin QL acceptor but that unit only has a 4 wire hook up and the IDX has 6. Could'nt figure out how to make it work. I welcome any insight to making it work or what acceptor to change to that is reliable. We accept quarters, dollar coins and tokens so it has to be multi coin.

I am really surprised that you are having that many problems. I also have 6 of those in wash select II's and almost never have issues except for the occassional bent coin that jams things up. Also use them in all my spray bays, vending machines and vacs...same experience. I very seldom have to reprogram them. Have you contacted IDX about the issues

I switched all my coin acceptors to IDX X10 and have had nothing but good luck with them. Tokens and Quarters. For some reason I had a lot of rejects of good tokens with my Slugbuster II's.

Can you convert to a Slug Buster? Call Parker Engineering and see (616) 784-6500.

Bump

Is it possible to wire a micro coin QL to a WSII? Not worried about the chute deflector (puts quarters back in hopper and tokens to separate bin). Hopefully some one knows the wiring.

Thanks in advance.
