I have been very happy usind water based silicone dressing at the car wash in the following ways:
1. to coat rubber vac cleanout bins after washing them out. the gunk comes off much easier and the kleen rite brand we use has a great smell.
2. meter boxes. it cleans and protects.
3. autocashier. i was surprised how long it holds up. stays shiny on stainless and makes face and buttons look good
