I have been using Turbo Tax for 10+ years and it always has made filing my taxes easier. My stuff isn't all that complicated anymore, but a Schedule C, D, E, 4797, 6252 etc.

This year, I am using Quicken, which is their program as well. I have found that even though it will import last year's return ok, and go to Quicken and your banks and brokerage house imports alright, it doesn't always fill-in the forms correctly, in my case it dropped the Dividends totally and even though I went through the step by step process, it didn't ask about the 1040ES payments, or my vehicle mileage. It also messed up a royality schedule E. There was a couple of issues, where the number used just wasn't right, with no way to figure out why it was changed.

Bottom line is that if you are using it this year, make sure to walk through the form/pages line by line and compare with last year's return to catch anything that it's dropping.
