The Summer and Fall quarters for ShurVend have been ones of adopting new technology and new ideas from our customers that have been incorporated into our VendPro-iG4 series of vendors. Since we showed our first VendPro-iG4EE prototype at the World Show in Las Vegas, we have responded to suggestions and ideas from customers and operators by incorporating many of these ideas into the present vendor model. We have increased security by beefing up particular parts of the machine and redesigned some parts to make it look better and easier to build. We have added some new graphics to both sides and the front to make it clear to the customer that this machine can sell vending products to them for use to fix a problem on their car. All of these adjustments and innovations have made the VendPro-iG4 series of vendors the best we have ever built and sold.
The latest innovation has been the development of LED lights that make the vendor very bright inside so there are no dark spots or dark corners inside. We have overcome the high initial cost of using LEDs and found a way to make it simple to install very bright LEDs on both sides and the top of the window. This lighting system can be powered with an adapter hooked into the power cord of the vendor. More about this in a subsequent post.
At the suggestion of one of our Express Exterior customers we have installed two sets of keyed alike locks on the VendPro-iG4EE. One set of differently keyed locks is for the security door which is opened by your attendants in the morning and locked by attendants at closing time. The second set differently keyed locks is used for the vendor door which are for the owner or manager to take care of the money and filling of the trays with product.
I'm sure there will be more innovations and customer suggestions in the future since the vendor is almost a living organism!!
