After rereading my last VBlog about LED lights in the vendor and our VendPro-iG4EE model for the Express Exterior washes, this will be an update on those products and the new credit card systems that are accepting mobile payments.
The LED light strips that we started using about a year ago to replace the expensive AMS LED fixtures has migrated to LED modules (with double sided contact adhesive) that are much easier bend around the window corners so we can install LED lights on both sides and across the top of the window for very good product lighting and help with the sunshine problem outside. The LED manufacturers have increased the density of individual LEDs to six (6) per module so we can now get two times the light intensity we had; almost the same as an LED strip. Any of our older vendors with fluorescent lighting can be upgraded to LED lighting with one of our retrofit kits complete with instructions on how to install it. The ShurVend VendPro-iG4EE model is designed for Express Exterior wash sites with an extra security door that can be opened and closed by attendants when the wash is open for business. It is designed to be installed in or near the free vacuum area of the wash so it is very visible and close to the wash customer. We have tweaked a few things on the model, but it has changed very little from our show rollout.
The credit card system that we use has been upgraded with the mobile payment capability caused by the release of the new iPhone 6 with Apple Pay. How fast this is going to be implemented is not known, but it will be coming quickly. I have posted previously on this credit card system, so please read the post.
