We are going to focus here on computerized vending systems (versus the old paradigm drop shelf vending systems) which are now available for operators at a wash site. These computerized vendor systems can merchandise (glass-front) car wash products, sodas, snacks, candy, or any product that will fit into them, and allow cash, tokens, credit card, RF card (stored value) and other cashless payment systems independent of any bill changer. Owner/operators want to know how each system is working on the wash site in real time especially when they can not be on-site all the time. Investors are not going to be on site very often, but still want to monitor their investment from wherever they are. Computers and the internet allow this to happen, so all the systems on a wash site must be monitored on a real time basis.
ShurVend vendors are compatible with WashCard, Exacta, ExpressKey, and Wickets systems that use a computer to monitor most of the equipment at the wash and have a high speed connection to the internet. The vending center credit card reader is connected to the computer either by an Ethernet cable to the router or by a cable. The vending center becomes another one of the many different car wash systems.
All of these newer car wash systems being built and installed in washes should have the expertise of the company representatives trained to take care of them after the sale and keep them operating correctly. It is not just a matter of going through the catalog to buy a foam brush, swivel, vac motor, or other mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical part at the best price, but operators need continuing service and expertise in the many separate, complicated, and sophisticated systems at the wash.
The company mission at ShurVend is to understand the new technology as it comes to market, incorporate it into the vending systems, to support our customers through their years of ownership of our equipment, and to become a partner in making the vending center at any wash a good profit center.
