Wash Gear-BOA heads up

If you have wash gear and are using Bank of America as your processor you need to update your terminal # by October 1 to continue to accept credit cards. I got a call from BOA telling me to change my terminal number so my wash gear system would continue to work. I had not received any letters from BOA but they did give me a new terminal # to install over the phone. If you call wash gear they have a very detailed explanation on what you need to do if you do not have your new terminal number yet. Once you get it is very easy to change it on your computer.

Can you please share what you had to do? I got the info from BofA. Do I just put in the new terminal number and that's it?

You go into the setup area of your wash gear computer and on the third line it will probably say terminal number 001. Change this to your new terminal number and that is all you have to do. Wash gear has complete audio instructions if you call their phone number and select option 2. It would not hurt to do a batch process incase you have any charges pending that were not able to post. On Thursday is when mine stopped working.

I just got away from BOA last month. I changed over to a vendor that Wash Gear recommended. Much better deal. I dont have the info with me now but I can get it or you can call wash Gear.

Interesting - I have deposits showing on 10/1 and 10/2 and I haven't changed anything. Is it an area thing, or maybe it hasn't fully implemented yet?

Washgear says that some of us got the letter in error and don't need to change anything. BofA called yesterday and told me I needed to contact them to make the change. I called, they researched and said don't do anything. We may have to update in the future. I also have been processing as usual without any problems.
