A crazy, scary video of a woman obviously at the end of her rope. Sad, really.

Welcome to the world of washing cars in Florida.

I have a more pitiful story.

Consider the case of two Florida hoopies who became so caught up listening to rap music while vacuuming their car at a self-service wash that they allowed their toddler to wander off into the in-bay automatic where the child was tragically and critically injured by the gantry.

These folks actually had the audacity to sue the owner and OEM for neglect. Go figure.

Wondering children worry me the most at my wash.

It seems to be the vacuums that cause it. They let their kids out while vacuuming and they run all over the place. I am more worried about a car hitting them than anything. It seems I have a constant flow of teenagers that want to squeal their tires.

I've changed my mind on this. I don't think it consitutes abuse. I don't think it's as bad as I initially did. It's obviously low psi. The trigger isn't pulled. The girl is not recoiling in pain. There was no damage to the girl's skin. Is it in poor judgement of the parent? yes. Would I spray my own kid like that? no. Should she be charged with child abuse? no.

I agree with Waxman and that was my first impression...low pressure at a distance with a fanned out tip...not abuse.

The lady's are idiots and I would not do that to my dog...but I figure the kid's bladder let go in the car and the carwash was a convinent way to rinse it off. Stupid yes...child abuse no.

I too would not want someone doing this at my wash...unless I got all the free press :)
