Very inspirational! For any of us who have had close calls with our eyesight, it is even more deeply moving. I had thick glasses from 1st grade or so. Had cataract surgery in 1999 in one eye. Had the other eye done in 2009. It makes one want to slow down in one way & in another way makes one want to live life to the fullest. A month after the 2009 surgery ---- I then went briefly without glasses that I tended to always wear ---- I had a piece of fabrication polycarbonate in my hand with sharp corners ---- thought it was my glasses --- so I inadvertently started to put the object towards my eye ---- the sharp arrow like corner ---- gouged dead center of my cornea. It was very scary for both myself & the eye doctor --- it did heal ---- but there was no guarantee of it healing --- considering --- the initial appearance of the injured cornea.
