which hp/presoak detergent do you guys use to get car clean? i have problem some car/jeep rocker panel still dirty . I know i have a fusionx but still it should be same for touchless.

By "dirty", do you mean leaving a film?

Tire cleaner may also play a role there also if it is just on the rocker panels

I guess I will try to expand on my point.

You may have to experiment with various chemicals to get the best wash. My best success with film on a vehicle is a very alkaline mixture that makes most chem reps nervous. However, with a fusion X, or any other combo unit you have to strike a balance on your cleaning products between the strength needed for a good touch free wash, and the safety of a weaker chemical for a drier friction wash.

As far as tire/wheel cleaners, many owners use a product that "shows well", but does not do a very good job cleaning. Many operators I know use SS cleaners. Generally, most SS tire cleaners look great at levels of strength that won't clean anything. Using a good tire cleaner designed for automatic or conveyor washing, at recommended strengths will improve performance. Since on the JCC units this product is being applied to your rocker panels it also has a role in body cleaning. When a good tire cleaner is applied you should witness dirt emulsifying on the tires of most vehicles. If it just sits there and doesn't darken when applied it is not doing it's job of cleaning, regardless of how foamy or green it is.

Dont know the industry terminology, but it is light/shadow of dirt/mud spots which can be wipe off easily with a damp cloth.

wonder if the oscillating nozzle isnt getting to those areas...but the rocker panel pass should clean it...hmm..any thoughts?

I used to have film and spots/white rings problem, once i change chemicals and recipe it was eliminated.

Since im closer to Houston, i use AP products. Recently i had the rep visit our site to check water quality and chemicals. The chemical we were using he said was already good product (Dream Klean Presoak). He did a test on it and it took ~23 drops before changing to a light clear color vs the one i use on SS it took 15. Now DreamKlean cost like $437/drum, the next in line is $504 and $599 being top.

I am in a location where a majority of people travel the interstate to get to the major shopping areas and to work. Also a lot of local roads are gravel roads. So I get lots of road film, bugs welded on cars, and a mask on most windshields. I tried several major brands of chemicals with only fair results. A black vehicle that has not been washed for a week is hard to get clean. I tried several major brands of chemicals and got varied results but not consistently clean cars. I ended up switching to my distributor's house brand chemical and it does a great job. It is the only chemical I have tried over the past 5 years that removes baked on bugs and the mask from windshields. Clean cars was my first criteria in choosing a presoak. Price was second. I also added a 30 second delay after each presoak pass. I don't skimp on my chemical mixes, maintain my equipment to the nth degree, and check my titration and water quality on a regular basis. Trial and error is the only way to find the right presoak. You may also want to check your pressures, water quality, nozzles, and recipes. You can vary the speed of your gantry on each pass to get good coverage.

so much do you guys spend on the presoak drum? theres got to be a breaking point. Powder or premix? care to give me the name so i dont have to reinvent the wheel?

my recipes are default now with minor changes. Originally the installers copy their recipe from their efusion and put it on mine which i didnt like the cleaning results. Most of my returning customers rewash their car every 2-3 weeks...good and bad thing lol.

i found out reason it still dirty on the rocker panel. The presoak stop and dont spray at that spot. is that normal?

I think I have good presoak coverage on the entire car.

Tire cleaner should also help with this if it is strong enough
