I've been helping a customer out with this automatic. He wants to be able to stop the on-board dryer from contouring the shape of the car. In other words, the dryer would stay up on the gantry, but still blow air over the car. I'm not familiar enough with the programming to know if there is a simple way to program this feature.

The company/dist. that installed this originally is no longer in business and the owner says it is hard to find anyone with much experince on these units.

If you are willing to help us out with occasional phone tech support, please post a response so I can contact you. Thanks.

Did you try to contact Mark VII? They sell Wesumat automatics.

what is the benefit of stopping the contour?

On my karcher machine, if you disable on eof the photo eyes the dryer will no longer contour and stays at the top. it still blows the air and everything, just no contour.

I have a Wesumat.

I think there is a setting to turn off the contouring dryer, I will check the manual next time I am at that site.
I don't think it will work to disable the photo eyes. I believe that will cause the dryer to try to raise and trip the motor overload because it can't go any higher.

This machine has a bad set of eyes on the contouring dryer. It's hard to justify the distributor wanting $500 for a simple transmitter and receiver eye, plus another 400-500 to install. These eyes look just about like the telco eyes ($35 - $50 each from dultmeier).

These machines are well designed and programmed. With a bad set of dryer photo eyes, the machine will fault out when it is time to run the dryer.

I bypassed the eye input and shut off the motor that raises and lowers the dryer, hoping that the dryer would just stay up and not fault out.

Then the machine faluted out because the power was turned off to the raise/lowering motor, so I bypassed that input also.

Then the machine faulted out because the dryer didn't leave its home position within 3 seconds.

Then I got a 12 pack and went home with my tail between my legs hoping for some freindly help from the forum.

Get the part number off the emitters/receivers and look it up on mouser.com. I've gotten prox switches for $70 from there that are $200 from the manufacturer.
