What did you upgrade to?

If I could keep parts supplied for my Futura, I’d keep it forever. Unfortunately, that is not reality. I’m talking to a guy in Mississippi about a spare arch and various parts. And another member on here about getting a backup pLC.
The salesperson I talked to about installing a Cube, mentioned a 17’ wide bay is needed…I measured mine at 15’ 4”.
I just want some input from you guys. I don’t have much money, so that’s the main concern. I haven’t talked to a bank yet. It’s a shame that,from what I gather on here, basically all touchless washes are equal. And by that I mean cleaning capabilities. So I could get a huge loan (maybe) for a new touchless and all it will do differently is have flashy leds and faster wash times.

you get a lot more than LEDs and faster wash times with a new touch free machine. Think about everything being brand new.
I was looking over the pump stand on my new razor and there is a feature that lets you use hot cold or a mix of both on each low pressure application. You can individually control speeds of each pass and dwell times. I can apply chemicals through the arch or a separate production arch. There are many other awesome options that I'm not mentioning. Then there's tech-support, parts availability and a network of other operators with similar newer machines that can help you reduce downtime even further.

If you don't have much money but you have a good relationship with the bank it might be a good time to refinance and include some extra money for an equipment upgrade. That's what I did and it worked out really well. I'm just looking forward to it having the type of car wash I always wanted. I had to purchase a lower-priced machine when I first started out years ago. I didn't know what I was doing and I made some mistakes like installing heavy metal insulated overhead doors like you would put on an auto shop. Those things gave me problems starting the very first winter I was in business and they never got much better after that. Things like this really limited my success. My equipment upgrade will change all of that and let me realize my true potential.
