Need to upgrade my equipment, new equipment is not in the budget. Has any one have any experience of upgrading from a M5 unit to a 360? Thank you in advance!
Yes exactly. I'm wondering if I've purchased used 360s. Is the festoon cable the same? Are the hoses the same? Is the track the same? Just wondering or does everything need to be switched out?2nd thing the OP says is that new equipment not in budget, first suggestion is spend $200k+ on new equipment...![]()
I am looking at replacing a 5-year-old friction In Bay with a Laser 360 Plus. Friction does clean better but also breaks down more often. I would like to keep it longer but I'll make more money with an IBA with better reliability and remote management. It's time to go Touchless. I have a 7-year-old laser 360 at another location and love it. Besides I really like the 360 + .
Good to know. I do have doors and my bays are 14.5 x 55 so I think size is not an issue. Might be worth checking out, it seems there are a few decent 360's out there available. And I do need more speed and reliability.I looked to do a few. The 360 needs a bigger bay, I don’t have. It is not an all weather machine so doors are a must. The only thing you can keep are the undercarriage pipe and the wall brackets for the rails.
OK, I was hoping it would be more straight forward. Thank you.The nodes are about the only thing that the M5 and 360 share. They use different rails, different festoons, different hoses, different rollers, and different pump stands. If you want to get a used 360 to replace your M5, then you should plan to strip the bay back to bare and do a complete install including new electrical, new plumbing, and a new pump stand.
