I am looking at a used 2005 model Vector and they look like solid machines. Are these well supported? Is there a big difference between them and the newer Belanger touch free machines?

My vectors are about 6 yr old, and maintenance is probably close to $2K a yr which is pretty good. Hoses-prox switches- A transmission(Just one so far).
But what are you looking to pay for machine because they were selling a Condor at ICA last year for 75K. Way faster-less maintenance(Less Parts)
Lights up nice(Looks Prettier) No transmission??- Our local installers really like them, i don't do enough washes to dump mine out, but would consider it if the price was right.

The Vector is definitely a good machine, expensive to have worked on but overall fairly easy to service. If you can change an engine in a car, replacing motors and gearboxes in it is comparatively easy. Ours is nine years old with probably $6,000 in parts changed by me (All major components replaced once). There's no steel in it to rust, but if the used one doesn't come with stainless rails, do yourself a favor and get a set if you buy it.

well they want 21500 for it and it' s supposed to have a wash count of less than 10000. The story is repo after repo after divorce etc and it was shut down basically.

I don't have a high volume site so I'm wondering how many washes you have in 9 years. The reason I don't know about new is I don't think I'd ever wear it out from washes. I am mechanically inclined and would do the work myself.

I have a Belanger Vector. It is reliable and it is relatively easy to work on and I have not had trouble getting parts.

I also have a Laser 4000. If I wanted a used wash for a low volume location I would look at one of these. All things being equal, the Laser cleans better.
