Who has a no cell phone in the tunnel rule

I recently implemented a NO CELL PHONE IN THE TUNNEL rule. I didn't think it was necessary before because I assumed my employees would know that it is discourteous to the wash customers for them to be distracted by their phones and that it was wasting my time on the clock.

However I was wrong.

I do need to get a hold of someone on premises after I leave sometimes. How do other washes handle this?

I have an extension for the land lane in the Cashier booth.

Thanks Earl -

Good idea but I don't have a cashier kiosk - only auto sentries.

These are the things you wish you had worried about before you designed your wash. Usually I have 2 or 3 people at my EE. I want them, out in the tunnel or checking trash, assisting customers etc, not in the office. I do have an extension in the equipment room but really, you can't hear anyone in there if you are on the phone. I have a flasher that I bought with the intent to install it so the tunnel people could see the phone is ringing even if they can't hear it.
