I had a customer who was scrubbing with the foaming brush, the brush head was loose and fell off. Before he could stop his motion he scratched his car with the end of the pole.

Would you pay for the scratch? Why? or Why not?

Why was the brush head loose? Unless you have evidence that shows the customer loosening it, you're liable.

I had a wand trigger lock on the other day with ice. When the customer selected rinse the gun jumped out of the holder and scratched his truck. Cost me $700 at the body shop. Sometimes crap just happens.

You're probably liable unless you have cameras which show the customer loosening it before use.
