Has anyone used a "winter blend" in their SS bays? For the same flavor (cherry) the price is less than what we normally use in the foamy brush (cherry blossom) which seems odd. This is my first winter so trying, weeps are on for this low temps coming on Friday, wondering if I should change to this antifreeze mix. Any one have experience with this type of antifreeze product?

If you don't have any other kind of protection on your foam brush you better be running winter foam brush soap on cold days or it will be frozen. This stuff is mostly methanol. I use something similar.

What kind of weep system do you have? With the anti-freeze foam brush soap you need to use a bigger tip on your Hydrominder to get to get the foam brush to not freeze, like a Red or Beige. If the temperature is hovering in the mid to upper 20’s night and warming up into the mid-forties during the day I’d let the weep water run. The only time I’d use the anti-freeze foam brush soap is when temperature doesn’t get above freezing during the day. This is our 35th winter and we absolutely hate this time of the year, freezing cold, wet, not our favorite time of the year.

Thanks, will double check the tip. Purchased the place a few months ago so getting up to speed on everything. Should be an exciting ride.

Check your drip system and underground heat nightly and early in the morning for a while to make sure there's no issues.
If you have a wind chill factor take that into consideration to your temp settings.
Make sure you have no leaks in your lines in the trough, any fittings in equipment room,brush/guns and bays. Fix immediately.
Does your trough have heat tape or recirculating hot water hose in it to keep it warm?
Listen to Randy and use red or beige tips with winterize soap.
