There's a good article in this months Auto Laundry news about improving your detail shop.
I instinctively started doing the things suggested by author Prentice St. Clair awhile back and it has paid huge dividends. Installing an air compressor and using air tools has sped up and improved the cleaning process. A new carpet extractor keeps my employees from being discouraged by the old, leaky, unreliable unit I had. Even new cabinets in the detail shop that clean up clutter and improve ther appearance of the place go a long way in creating a high-end looking detail shop! I have my eye on a steamer by Detail PLus next!
I also finally got my act together and have the employees in uniform shirts now.
All these ideas work together to WOW the customer and the bottom line is increased sales.
