XE validator won't suck bills in / choppy

XE validator in my iba acw started wonking out yesterday; thought moisture was the problem ( running w/bay doors open). it won't pull bills in properly; stuttering. took apart and cleaned belts. worked ok. then today a guy dropped a bill in a puddle then inserted it. after that, i can't get validator to suck in any bills. tried drying belts etc. no-go.

any ideas???

How long has it been since it was last overhauled? Put in your spare validator and send it in for repair, there's nothing you can do to fix it.

i installed my spare XE validator and it wouldn't accept tokenotes. normally this wouldn't stress me out too much but with the busy days and line-ups at the auto wash it gets tricky to re program the cashier!

luckily, the tech support from Hamilton MFG. is top notch!!! The tech walked me through the process, which involved setting coupon values, re training validator, etc.
