I am considering putting up a count up sign(sort of like the old McDonalds "XX million burgers sold" sign) on the building. The idea is to grow confidence in this "new technology". The customers just don't trust it to be safe. The next touch carwash is like 60 miles away. Our competition is 3 small touchless bays at gas stations. The tunnel gets around 3,000-4,500 cars a month(it's a small town)
. We have been steadily growing over the last couple years. I keep talking to people that assume we've washed like 5,000 cars total. "How could you possibly be washing that many cars?? There's hardly ever a line." LOL. We have a membership program with about 500 members.
What do you think about the sign idea? Will it turn customers off? Will it make them think, "What am I missing?"
