Does anyone know about the effectiveness of the spinlite material/process? It seems like the foam would have to be denser and heavier to clean effectively at the slower rpm's.

I wonder if this will be unique to Belanger, or if it will catch on industry-wide.

I visited their test wash in Michigan and took a look. The strips of foam are quite a bit thicker and denser. They alsl require quite a lot of lubrication so a really good high volume rinse Is necessary. The most impressive piece was the Duo Washers. A set of horizontal side and wheel scrubbers. There is one caveat, they will only sell you a complete wash package. They will not sell individual pieces, it's all or nothing.

Thanks Washmee.

Too bad it is an all or nothing deal. I liked the look of the duo washer, but also thought the top brush would be a good alternative to both mitters and fast spinning top washers. Seems like it would be quieter like a mitter, but have more cleaning power like a top wheel.

That will last until someone copies it. I understand they have patents on all of it so it might take a while. I have also heard they will sell the dual wheel/rocker brush set up independently but nothing else.

Sorry but they told me that would not sell the Duo Scrubber separately. That was the one piece I was interested in buying. I was told they are marketing the whole system as a difference maker to make it have a competitive advantage.

I talked to a distributor in PA that says he can sell them individually.

The direct view of the brushes would be partly blocked, but the foam on the windows will glow and flash with the lights.

Unless seen from outside, wouldn't a customers view be blocked by foam and soap?
This is a very real concern. Been thru some newer washes with the Lava / Sheet type flow and once the first one hits your windo you really can't see much for the rest of the tunnel wash.

Some operators have added a rinse for the windshield beofre some extra services so the customer can get the full effect.

I visited the Belanger booth at the Car Wash Show in Nashville and was told that the duo scrubber (wheel/rim cleaner) costs 40K if purchased alone.....

Thats because you have to buy both sets and a high pressure pumping station. I would be interested in buying one set and I already have a pumping station to use with that set.
