My brother-in-law and I purchased a carwash in our small hometown. It has 3 self serve bays and 1 IBA that is original equipment, so its 26 years old. The IBA is a low volume unit, and I'm really not even sure what brand it is. It has an L-shaped boom that runs on a trolley. It's been rebuilt over time, and still functions rather well. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that a laserwash or PDQ does, but it currently meets our needs. We've decided to keep it in service for a few more years and then probably upgrade.
Anyway, on to my question. The nozzles on the IBA need to upgraded. Currently, there is a combination of 1/8" 2505 and 1/8" 4005 nozzles on the boom. The undercarriage nozzles are 1/4" 40 degree nozzles. Just watching the wash run through a cycle it appears that the 4005 nozzles would be the best spray pattern versus the 2505. This is all pretty new to me, so any advice would be appreciated by this newbie.
