Erie hogs hair brush

Hi all,
I just wanted to order a few SS brushes when I got hit with a hammer.
It was quite a long time ago since I ordered some Erie hogs hair brushes.
What do you use? Is there any cheaper alternative (same quality)? Thanks.

Earl why buy from Erie when KR is $60 cheaper for 8 hog hair brushes?

Are you comparing the 4" Brushes - $42.50 vs $49.99? $7.50 x 8 = $60.00? I will have to report back to see exactly what I get because I simply called and "Re Ordered." I think I get 4.5 -5" but not sure.

I know Erie has 6 holes . Gives good foam - Not sure what the other ones have.

Also, one of my places is 10 minutes from Erie so I just go pick them up and don't pay shipping.

I don't know where you got those prices.
I was just giving an approximate price difference but below is the actual differences.
Interesting about the hole count though. I never looked to see the if there was 4 or 6 holes. I bet that could make difference.
I remember years ago you told me that when that Erie was close to you.
That's nice for you to be able to get both self service and tunnel wash brushes so quickly.
I prefer the 4 1/2-4 3/4. Tried the 5", my brushes on the wall are horizontal to the floor, and 5" was to big.

4'" Alum. Blue bumper
Erie price 58.02
KR Erie price 50.50
Difference 7.52

4 1/2" Alum. BL. B.
Erie price 67.89
KR Erie price 59.99
Difference 7.90

4 3/4 Alum. BL. B.
Erie price 70.39
KR Erie price 62.50
Difference 7.89

There's no cheaper alternative with even similar quality. I tried the Universal brand, figured they're both hogs hair and the quality of hogs shouldn't vary, but the Universal lasted less than half as long. They started shedding bristles almost immediately and what didn't just fall out wore down very quickly. I also had issues with the steel nut pulling out of the plastic backing. I've even seen quality control issues where they forgot to put in the screws that hold the refill in, customers are scrubbing away and the brush falls out and they put a dent in their hood.

I prefer the standard length Erie - I tried the next longer ones once but they didn't last any longer. I replace them when the length looks shorter in the center so I basically just wasted money on the longer bristles.

This has been my experience as well. I tried them once instead of the erie in an effort to save a few pennies. Didn't last nearly as long.

There are a lot of places where you can cut corners a bit and not sacrifice quality or performance. This is not one of them.

We consider the cost of consumable goods, guns, wands, nozzles foam brush heads, etc. the cost of doing business. Yes those items have gone up substantially in the last year few years. Raise your price to compensate for the added costs of your consumable goods.

The answer your looking for is the new 3 ¼" erie foam master hog hair.

It's 38.00 @ KR.

I got one a few months back and I like it. My favorite brush right now. The shortness helps the bristles hold their shape, it's got the stiffness of a nylon with hog hair. Might want to try one.

I'll never buy a universal brand again. Last nylon brushs I got from KR in the universal were garbage, should have returned them. Bristles started pulling within the first week, and just keep falling out slowly.

Erie only for me. And the foam master is the brand with 6 holes in it.
