What have you found to be the best type of caulk to caulk concrete block, or concrete? When my wash was built they caulked the concrete block where it meets the concrete floor. It almost looks like butyl caulk. Anyone know of a really good caulk for this type of project?

My first thought would be to use driveway crack filler. It's made to stick to concrete and stretch with shifting/expansion, and it's gray. It does come in caulk guns - you would obviously not want to use the self-leveling stuff.

For DURABILITY the consensus in our area in North Dakota is by far Sonolastic Self Leveling in small or large tubes to be used with a caulking gun. For vertical application (since you mentioned concrete block) Sonolastic has a stiffer version. I hope this helps since I believe you are far enough north in frost & thaw areas ... so it is relevant to you also.
Since labor is also involved the difference of Sonolastic lasting for decades vs a few years (some caulks) is a huge value based on actual experience.
