Anyone try these new "Eternity? brush Vac motors?

Just read about these new motors in Kleen-Scene. They're suppose to last about two times longer with their new brush and bearing design. Just wondering if anyone has any field experience with these vs. the standard econo motors Kleen Rite sells.

I'm already getting twice the life from Domel motor brushes, and the motors are about $10 cheaper. I quit using the old GS motors mainly because the upper bearing would fail before the first set of brushes wore out. If these new ones also have a sleeve bearing, I wouldn't touch them.

I don't think they have been on the market long enough to establish any sort of track record. I just bought 4 and plan to install them later this year when I do my annual vac maintenance.

I get them from windtrax #domel 491.7 IIRC.

I use the domel 491.7's and 492's. Customers like them and give me compliments on how much better my vac's work compared to the free vacs down the road.

I received a flyer in the mail from Windtrax a couple days ago that said the domel motors are 20% off as a promotion for their new warehouse in Ohio, so it's a good time to pick some up.

Windtrax.com, the 492 is a direct replacement for standard motors. I used the 492.3 which has more airflow AND more suction and is still quieter than most standard ones. Only problem is it's about 1/4" taller and won't work in a few types of vacs.

Mep I must be missing something. The Windtrax catalog says the 492's base height and overall height is taller than the 492.3. It also says the 492 has 88" H20 lift and 114 cfm versus 88" H20 lift and 93 cfm for the 492.3. The 492 is listed at $46 and the 492.3 is listed at $59 which is definitly more than the GS at $38. I don't know what the lift/cfm ratings are for the GS. Did you get your models mixed up? Thanks

Looks like 101 cfm. Would I really notice a difference trying the domels?

I may have gotten them backwards, I just took a quick look and assumed the more expensive ones were the taller ones. The ones I was using were taller and had higher CFM/lift ratings.

2 stage means there are two impellers stacked, which increases suction/lift. They don't wire differently.

Those have a sleeve bearing in the top, and they rarely last long enough that you get a chance to change the brushes more than once. You probably won't notice a difference in performance with the Domel, but you'll notice them lasting a lot longer.
