Medoco Locks

on my acw4/5 I have one of the medeco lock that would not turn with the key anymore , does anyone have an idea how to get this the lock out please PM me.

Have you tried spraying lube in the lock. I've used WD-40 successfully but your locksmith probably has a lube specifically for locks.

I've had the same issue and almost gave up, but wd-40 fixed it right up.

Our local locksmiths favor "TriFlow with teflon" over WD40.

Try to find one with the penetrating silicone. It tends to loosen up the lock better and keeps it lubricated.

I've noticed that if the V-channel in the lock is at the bottom, it can sit in water and pick up rust and jam. I always turn it so it's at the top.

I use powdered graphite to keep locks lubricated. Works great. Not sure it will free up a stuck lock though.

No, it can't penetrate anything once it's stuck. I know locksmiths say not to use WD-40 on locks, but it seems to do an excellent job on the Medeco plug locks to unstick them and keep them free.

I buy it from Crest Ind. but I'm sure you can probably get it at Lowes or Home Depot.
It works when WD40 doesn't.

I agree, PB Blaster is probably the best penetrating oil out there.

I've found AmsOil MP HD works better than WD-40 especially in protecting from rust.

Zep makes a good penetrating silicone spray that I think is available at Home Depot.
