My Floor and water heat Boilers share a Vent / Flu duct. It's Single wall and 16" in Diameter where it's rusted out. Does anyone have an on line source? I seem to find either Double wall or just Duct pipe which I think is less sturdy.

Something that large (16") in diameter could probably be made at a local duct shop. It'd be worth a few phone calls.....

Why online? When I needed large duct, I just stopped by the local HVAC supply company.
1. Not really familiar with one and
2. last time I tried to get something from a supply house they would not sell to me.

Just a step off topic on this but, whats everyones findings on this? Whenever you walk into a plumbing, electrical or hvac supply house you walk into the place and they all give you a look like you walked into the wrong house? It always seems to me that they all have their clicks and if your not in it you might as well walk out. So many times Earl I am in your shoes I will seek out online parts. I am rehabbing a wash now and just finally found an electrical supply house that was very welcoming. I get everything from them. There prices are competitive and even if slightly higher I will use them. Have yet to find a local plumbing or hvac, so I go online for most of that.

Some local supply houses will not sell to you unless you have a State issued contractors license. I was told State law requires it. I went to a local HVAC house to buy a relay....and they showed me the door. A lot of the plumbing supply houses are the same way. It makes no sense. I can order most anything on the internet....but the"State" is trying to protect me from blowing myself up.....

Do yourself a favor and order on-line. I have open accounts at local HVAC, plumbing and electrical supply houses and on-line is almost always less expensive. And yes, even with accounts I get the stink eye if I refer to something by the wrong name.
