I have 8 15HP sonny's blowers with inlets facing exit (motor facing entrance). They have been there for over 10 years, Yes I have replaced motors, but not every 6 months! I would say the average life was about 5 or 6 years some longer as I just replace 2. I believe 1 motor is original. I have a 120ft conveyor with decent drip space so maybe that makes a difference.

I have blower motors that face the entrance end that are over 10 years old.

To Dewey and Wash Me. How far are the blowers from the closest rinse arch?

I have 3 arches with motors pointing to entrance with 20 foot drip space as well. I have only replaced 1 motor since install 12 years ago. This is the motor that went bad so I moved it to the flash drying area.

I think the longer the drip space the less the issue vis a vis motors sucking in moisture . I was referring more to the Flash Dry where the nozzle is 3-4 Feet from the rinse arch which would put the cooling fan suction end of the motor about 2 feet from the rinse.

My Drip space is as short as 10 feet.
