Does anyone have an old CW1541 pump they are willing to part out? I am in need a piston guide that connects to the connecting rod. I could buy a new piston rod but I don't see how you you would get the rivet apart and re-rivet it to the new rod without it coming apart again. Mine has a score in it causing the oil seal to leak on one cylinder.

If your piston guide is scored you will have a corresponding score in the bushing in the crankcase. Replacing the piston guide will not fix the problem. These pumps are known for bearings going bad and causing scoring on the piston guide, crankcase bushings, and connecting rods. If I were you i would replace all six bushings and clean up any scoring on the piston guides. I would also replace the bearings and races. The oil leak probably started because the bearings went bad. The bushings can be pressed in and out. General's part number is 90917400 for the bushings.

The piston guide actually got scored trying to get the oil seal out on the last rebuild.

I have a good pump that was removed last month on a demo job. $500 plus shipping. Call or text Bob @ 252-432-6560

I don't need a whole pump. Just a piston guide. Thanks anyways.
