Randy & others,

I will never forget the day when my folks & siblings found out one of my first cousins who grew up in Bremerton was murdered in the Seattle - Puget Sound area when he was in his twenties. On the other hand ... I guess it can happen anywhere for that matter. We did have a horrific near death stabbing of someone close to our facility when the emergency shelter was close by. The knife was intended for me ... I saw the whole occurrence while I was on 911 ... when a young man acting ... in my opinion ... as a Good Samaritan coaxed the large Detroit native away from his full run after me ... not an easy situation. To be a bit more accurate than the article ... I had a hunch the guy was extremely dangerous ... so I did keep my distance ... he was too large for me to be able to physically throw him. I suppose the reporter used it as a "figure of speech". I am sure many of us ... not just me ... knows ... what a "blood curdling 911 call" can be like. We still need "governance" no doubt about it along with a few responsible gun packin among us ordinary citizens. http://bismarcktribune.com/news/loc...cle_2fb72104-ce10-57a4-9e73-e665f5fc2e8e.html

Last weekend a young lady showed me her "beauty" ... a 22 caliber automatic from her purse. She told me she was raped 4 times & she said she is taking precautions that it never happens again. She told me she had an even more capable "beast" gun in her vehicle. I have a brother in law & a nephew who are among some of the more fervent of NRA supporters. I personally think that there is a need for a powerful enough association that has just as much fervor for stopping the "100% anti most efficient approach to cash" crowd. In other words those who fight for 100% cashless ... those who support policies making cash no longer an option in our supposedly "free" country.

Just to add ... there are plenty of local rascals & maybe even competitors who will probably try to label Uncle Ike's place as now being an unsafe place to go ......

Happened near one of my places recently. Drug deal went bad and there was a shooting. One of the people involved ran a block an into a Starbucks where he had some friends waiting for him and the local politician railed against the Starbucks as being a haven for troublemakers.

Ha! I just posted this on your thread above. I'm not a religious person, but someone upstairs was looking out for the girl in the car.

Overall I've been super lucky and the area has really cleaned up over the past few years. 30 seconds after the shooting everyone was back to washing their cars. Well, it was a sunny day and that's pretty rare around Seattle.

Seattleguy, You’re lucky, I remember a few years ago an attempted sexual assault occurred at one of the car washes. The news media broadcasted from the car wash and it ruined business for over a year, business dropped 60% overnight.
