Do You Post Your Self Serve Pricing

I check out every wash that I can. I have noticed that some washes do not post the cost of self serve. One place near me doesn’t even have the start up cost. Seems like this would bother the customer, but wonder what thoughts exist about this. Thanks

I don't put a decal with the start-up amount because it's displayed on the timer. I would think in most states you have to at least post the start-up amount, and it seems really dumb not to. Some states require you to post the start-up time and the increments per coin as well as the start-up time and price.

I just recently added stickers with the cost to start because I've had a lot of people ask me while I've been there despite it being on the timer. I have a separate sign that explains how the cryptopay stuff works.

People worried the heck out of me even though it clearly says the start up price on timer. (I put $2.00 in it and will not start up) when it’s $2.50 it’s like they don’t believe what the timer says or something. Especially when you go up on the price and the customer doesn’t know it. Putting the lexan sticker on meters eliminated all that for me.

Mine is displayed on the timer but I also put the black and yellow sticker with the start up price on the meter box. There is also a sign over the changer with start up time and amount for next quarter.

Are you referring to street viewable advertising or at the coin box?
I'm referring to the coin box. I posted this after using a car wash in Maryland that has eight SS bays. I couldn't find a start up price and/or price per minute in any bay. I've seen this before and thought it would be frustrating to customers, but really wondering if there is a strategy behind doing this.

I have a pricing sign that includes start up cost, time per $ and methods of payment over my meter box and my timer shows start up cost. I had a round sticker on the meter box door that showed start up cost for a while, but I didn't replace it with my last increase.

Thanks
