HEllo I have Water Wizard 2 and it keeps asking customers to Drive Forward, even after they are on the treadle (and prox sensor does light up), then when they keep driving forward, it asks customer to Backup, so they back up and then asking them to Drive forward and the same thing keeps happening a couple of times until it asks customers to Exit. I have changed the PRox sensor on the Treadle and Couting wheels and also checked some wiring, is there any fuse somewhere? Or it might be one of those small black Omron relats but how do i know when ch is burnt?

I don’t have a w/w. But a similar issue on my mark vii, was a very loose proxy switch at the treadle plate. Let us know

On my old machine we could not figure anything out changed everything to find out that the treadle was bad
once in a while it would stick and send a signal when no one was on it. And car wash would always read bizy or car in bay then put it self out of order

Sounds like you have an issue with the treadle eye. Have you checked to see if the ID 16 or the red lion is showing a break in the eye when it's blocked? It may be a bad receiver or cable.

Ontario i did have a similar issue a week ago. I noticed the prox sensor was too close to the plate and becase of that even when the treadle was not activated (no car on it) the lights on prox sensor was on. So simply adjusted the prox sendor and made it a bit further away from the plate and it was fixed.

Cebo whats ID16 or red lion? You mean the panel (PLC) inside mechanical room? I asked my staff to put their foot on the treadle few times but i didnt see any lights or something changing state in the panel inside. So bad wiring? How come wiring becomes bad all of a sudden? I noticed the cable coming from the treadle prox sensor is spliced in a junction box almost a meter away from the railing. From there it goes to the panel inside the mechanical room. I cut those three wires and spliced them again in case where there was a splice there is rust. Looking at the manual it seems like channel 2009-0 is treadle switch should the light turn on when its activated?

UPDATE: I can confirm there is no signal coming to Channel 2009-0. I just checked the Channel 2009-4 which is for undercarriage and it lights up when I'm on it but it doesn't for the treadle. Whats is wrong???? I still cant believe the cable goes bad all of a sudden somewhere in almost 100ft from there to my mechanical room.

You must have a different setup than I do. My treadle uses a banner eye. I'm assuming you have a plate the trips a prox switch. Most of the time it would either be the prox or the connection. Find the terminal for the treadle on the ID-16 (channel 2009-0) and take the wire loose. Then operate the treadle and see if you get voltage to the wire. I just had the same thing happen not long ago. I was getting voltage to the id-16 (the computer) but the light was not coming on. Ended up replacing the ID-16.

Thanks it all makes sense, I am checking the connection at the bay and for just a second I got the STOP light come on. How do I check the voltage at channel 2009-0? I do have a Multimeter.

....and if the prox switch is or was too close...it may have been damaged from rubbing

I just checked the voltage on the 2009-0 and regardless of my car being on the prox sensor or not, it shows almost 24VDC. So I guess I do have the right voltage. So problem is not the connection? But shouldn't the voltage be zero when the prox is not active (sorry Im very naive when it gets to electrical stuff), or perhaps it always need to have 24 VDC regardless of sensor being active or not. Thanks

FIXED: the problem is fixed and im so happy right now. It was the cable from prox sensor coming to the mechanical room which is almost 100ft. We came to know that by removing the last one meter of the prox sensor at the treadle and brining in to the plc (red lion) and saw that 2009-0 light up. So then we knew its this 100ft cable. I was lucky that this 100ft cable had an extra wire in it. So first we figured which wire is disconnected and replaced it with that extra wire and BINGO. Thank you all you r the best anwering question late evenings and weekends.

Great! Might want to run a new line some rainy day as it sounds like the cable may have a stress area.
