ACW4 Mars conversion

I am ready to convert my halilton ACW4 to a mars bill acceptor. I am getting tired of the POS hamilton XE validator needing rebuild every 6 - 9 months at the cost of $400 - $550. Are all the upgrade kits everyone is selling Etowah Valley? If not is one better than the other? Do they work flawlessly?

FWIW....I use the Hamilton Tokenotes, and have a huge amount in circulation.

I've successfully used the IOWA validator for years. The ones in my ACW IV's haven't been serviced in years. I give them a good cleaning occasionally, and replace the belts myself. They accept the Tokenotes....so I'm out of luck using a Mars conversion.

In my experience, they are a great unit.

You need a AE2631D5 or 7. The last number is the size of the bill box "5" is a 500 note bill box and a "7" is a 700 note bill box. You'll need to remove the display and mount it on the door, relocate the controller to the back of the ACW, run a cable from the controller to the display and you should be in business. You want to be very careful when you plug the Etowah valley relay box into the validator, plug it in backwards or one pin off and poof the smoke will come out of the validator and it will be ruined. I personally like the Hamilton relay pan, it's almost impossible to plug it in backwards, it takes up the whole slot on the side of the validator.

Hey Randy, We have an Autotec-5 (ACW5) that we need this retrofit kit for. I can't find it (or at least one I'm certain of) on kleen rite and I'm just not sure what to purchase. Are you selling them?
