Anyone have a secret to cleaning MEI 2600 Validators?
Turn off the power to the unit, remove the bill box, remove bill transport. Use a "Wet towel" scrubbing off the black gunk off the white rollers, wipe down the upper and lower lens, wire off any excess fluid, reinstall the bill transport and bill box, turn the power back on and your done for another 3 or 4 months. About every other cleaning I use a 1" paint brush to dust off the inside of the validator. Don't use bill cleaning cards, they'll degrade the belts.Anyone have a secret to cleaning MEI 2600 Validators?

i knew you would like it. I don't know how any operator does not have a mars validator in this day in age. Glad it worked out.I've been very happy since switching to the Mars on my changer no more ohhh god why are they coming to the front door now, if you need advise on how to clean a XE validator you remove it from your coinbox or changer and you place it ever so gently in your dumpster and then the repair people will stop by with a big fancy truck to pick it up and take to a far far away land of happiness.
The cards don't clean the bill path optics, so why would you even use them on a Mars acceptor?Have you ever seen or heard of deterioration issues on the MEI 2600 series with using the non alcohol cleaning cards or ones using their specific "magic magic" cleaner?
Have had the XEs in changers for years. Probably run $500 a week thru each . Probably need to get them serviced every couple of years. Can't say I have any real issues with them.i knew you would like it. I don't know how any operator does not have a mars validator in this day in age. Glad it worked out.
