Foam brush J-hook issues

We are using these J-hooks for horizontal handle hanging:

We notice that sometimes a customer turns the brush against the wall and smashes it in there to hang it. The brushes have so far been okay and spring back to shape. To try and remedy this I hammered down the gap thinking it can't be hung that way. Boy was I wrong. That just means that it gets smashed even more. Somewhere at another wash we saw some offset J-hooks that allow the brush to be hung facing the wall but I can't find any for sale. Does anyone know where these could be bought? I could use spacers under the ones we have but it may not look very elegant.

We've had the brush in the bucket and a Hamel foam brush handle holder for years with no problems.

I like the brush hanging in a way that it can be quickly inspected and rinsed out so that is why we never considered the brush in the trough.

Dralco makes a much larger and heavier hook that will work the way you want. You should be able to get it from Dultmeier.

I did see that in my search but wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Have you used that one? It looks like it still might let the brush be against the wall although not smashed.

Get the one I linked. The pipe will lay in the bottom of the V and won't ever be pressed against the wall. Also, the weight of the brush head will make it point downward somewhat, preventing the burping from getting on the customer. I've never had one get bent either. The Dultmeier hook looks like it would bend if bumped hard enough.

I still like the Kleen-Rite ones better and are less money. One thing about the J-hooks we bought is they were pretty crude and needed deburring, rounding, and some sanding. The ones you first linked look the same way in the photos. Earl do you have a photo of yours in the bay?

Not the ones I linked. They don't look it in the photo, but they're extremely heavy, almost 3/16" thick material and 1 1/4" wide. The brush will still rest against the wall if it's put up that way, but if you're having trouble with the brush forming that way you need to use a different brush.

Using two of the vertical hanger will work, I've seen it done, but you'll get the occasional stupid person who will put the head in one of them and leave the end of handle on the ground.

I would like to see photos of both in use before we bought one type. I asked Earl for photos but can you take a few of the ones from Dultmeier Mep?
