Building a paystation with crypto pay
any idea which conroller i should buy for it or does someone have one lying around thanks

Try going for some kind of Unitec controller. They are decent and they have lots of options for payments. ex Wash Select II.

Do you have an ACW-4/5 now? You want a late model controller, single line display, like a version v4.20 or v4.23. You'd have a hard time putting a Unitec controller into a Hamilton ACW

i pretty much have all parts laying around to build a 4/5 from stuff lying around
i guess my question is i have some controlers 1212a's is there anyone on here that could test one for me or refurb and add the crypto jumper wire for me, not sure what works around here or is a paperweight .
or anyone got one or a goldline lying around that works and is taking up space in your shop they want to part with

We have a nice one with a one year old Cryptopay update, new bottons, and new hopper. It is currently in use and will be available in a few months but can't say exactly when. We also have a spare that is missing the hopper and validator.

Unless you plan of using Tokenotes or coupons of that type, pitch the Hamilton validators in the trash and go with Mars. They're superior in every way.

Ours rarely gave us an issue so we have not upgraded it. The one in the changer was a nightmare so we bought an upgrade kit from Randy and it's been great.

Honestly always have had good luck with em who knows how old they are and no problem once a year i might blow em off

The stringing issue is the worst problem, otherwise the Hamilton validators aren't bad, but the Mars are really so much better I'll not use anything else.

Can you string the Mars validator?

It's extremely difficult especially if it has the anti-stringing comb, but it can be done. The average crook who knows how to string a Hamilton won't be able to string a Mars.

anybody RANDY ever have a problem with there Hamilton cc swiper freezing and the reader not popping out all the way
or is there a spring or something in there going bad
and does anybody have a replacement if so
mines the swipe kind not the insert
thought about putting a piece of heat tape behind it
the validator has a big heat strip which warms the box but could be a lot warmer and the wind and snow blow right at mine, to bad I didn't put it on the other side but then the passenger would have to pay

Controller had a bad pink wire input someplace in the board so would not except quarttersl or tokens
found a good controller and its activating wash now

wires: Brown off power harness to brown on side controller harness
: Green/rd wire to pink on side harness
: Yellow to 24 power on power harness
:black and the other grn/red on swiper to black common on power harness that has the brown wire on it

controller read something i forget
then go thru to welcome prompt change to welcome
and exti prompt to thank you
then pick hamilotn wash names and go thru pricing agian
and should be it wasnt hard if you have a good controller i guess

question: For welcome promps 2,3,4 and proceed prompts (welcome and thank you)
my 2,3,4 are set at not used
is that ok seems to work
