Jetting clogged drain in your area

I told him 3HP motor - Cat 310 pumps & he said he was not an engineer & said that both the 2-2.9gpm & the 3-4gpm were designed for only for specific "compatible" high pressure washers???

That's a load of crap. It wouldn't have a range if it was designed for a specific unit.

I kind of like their patented small entry ability "needle nozzle" over KR's etc. We can run two Cat 310s into our already set up manifold so to come up with the 3-4gpm is OK. at our facility.

I made one in an emergency by drilling holes in a brass cap on a hose and it worked perfectly. I'm sure any tip will do the job. And you don't need to couple two pumps together to get 3 GPM.

The sewer nozzle sprays forwards to break up any clogs and backwards to pull the hose into the pipe.

Is the end on the pre installed Clog Hog less linear solid inflexible distance than if you did like Randy suggests???

The reason why I ask is because some of the sewer entry points & turns are affected by how compact the nozzle end is.

It seem like the Clog Hog's big selling point is its "short distance NEEDLE NOSE" compared to the normal "longer distance crimped on end" like KR has.

I use a ClogHog attached to a pressure washer to clear the stoppages I get in my sewer lines. The price and a link to the product was already posted by me above. I have successfully cleared every stoppage in my sewer lines using this product.

Some branches within our facility's drain piping going out are 2". The bigger issue is the tip length that Cloghog has patented that helps with some initial feeding of the jetter & some bend points. Part of our drain system is 1959 & another part of it is 1968.

BTW we have not had a chance to use our following drain tool enhancements: We invested in one of those cheaper camera-phone app setups that can be attached to our Harbor Frt auto feed drain cleaner. We just bought a solid core 75' cable & some General Pipe Cleaning new special cutter ends. The 50' original cable on the HF kinked so bad that we decided to replace it with a General Pipe Cleaner much better quality longer cable.

The Cloghog had some "m22" adapter technicality??? That also went over my head that Sequoia might be able to clarify. It appears like the consumer hi pressure washers guns might have that instead of nat'l pipe thread NPT.

Don't remember anything like m22? What I bought is very simple-- the cloghog is a roll of semi-flexible hose, with a jet nozzle on one end and a standard hose type fitting on the other end.

I unplugged the factory hose and wand from my pressure washer, and screwed the fitting on the cloghog onto the pressure washer. I did not need any adapters. Then I played out some hose, and put the nozzle end of the cloghog down the drain and fired up the pressure washer.

The cloghog jet nozzle has multiple streams that shoot backward, and one forward. So with more force shooting backward than forward, it "wants" to go down the drain. If I hit a bend or obstruction, I just jiggled the hose or pulled it back a few times to either make it around the bend or make it past the obstruction.

I'm guessing I don't have any root problems, as this product would be totally ineffective against that. But it cleared 100% of my mud obstructions.

It looks like the only thing we would gain with the ClogHog specific brand is their "patented smaller end". The M22 apparently is why Cloghog requires buyers to state the specific "portable pressure washer" brand & model when ordering. Some brands & models use NPT on their gun connection & others use M22 etc??? Your portable pressure washer apparently has the NPT specification.

They seem to also insist on the ability of a trigger of gun stopping & stopping pressure. I told the guy when he called ... that was not an issue for me because I would be using it with a reliable wireless remote control relay KEY FOB. Like I said he was totally psyched out for use on anything but a specific COMPATIBLE brand or model of a portable gas or electric pressure washer.

For about 6 months many many many.....many years ago I worked for a sewer pipe jetting company. We had a large water truck with a PTO connected pump and a jetter nozzle deal that my boss called the Hydrodildo. It was about 1" dia X about 10" long, I don't know what HP or GPM the pump on the truck was but it would pull the 1" hose into the pipe pretty darn quick. We always jetted from the main connection manhole towards the business that had the clogged pipes 99% of which were restaurants. Oh and I never complain about carwash mud stink. Try busting out restaurant grease one time and you won't mind the smell of car wash mud so much!!

Do you know what is hydro jetting? The principle of operation of hydrodynamic equipment is to immerse the hose into the sewer and supply water under high pressure through nozzles with holes directed forward and backward. Water jets directed forward break the plugs and deposit them on the walls of the pipes. The flowing water through the holes directed backward creates jet thrust in the pipeline. Due to it, the nozzle with the hose moves along the pipe, washing away all the dirt.

I'm surprised at the speed of clearing a sewer blockage. Perhaps the specialists you called are using special equipment or special chemical solutions that release the clogs and make the passage of water cleaner and straighter. Today's cleaning or restoration firms never cease to amaze you with new technology. I had a leak in my basement drain. I misplaced the pipes, and water was flowing down for months. I expected their work to be finished in 8 hours that day, but they did it all in three hours. It's a miracle of engineering, guys.

It seems that you paid too much for this kind of service. Apparently, you turned to a company that provides very expensive services for the repair of downpipes. Next time in case of water damage, contact other companies or watch a video on YouTube and fix the problem yourself. Yes, you will spend not 15 minutes on this, but perhaps about an hour, but it will be difficult for you only for the first time, then you will do it quickly without any problems. However, I can solve this problem and fix any drainpipes. I still turn to the company to be sure that there will be no flood in the future.
