I looked all through my Hamilton Manual and didn't find that error message or reference to it anywhere. Sorry.

I think it is trying to calibrate the bill validator and the sensors are not with in guidelines. Try opening the bill path and cleaning all the sensors. If that does not work depending on which validator you have you might be able to do a calibration with a blank peice of paper.

There is no such complex communication between the validator and the controller.

What specific model is the ACW? Did it go back into service after clearing the error?

It's an ACW 4 w/token, quarter, cc, and XE validator

Yes, immediately back into service.

Just had this one this morning. Error, Error Out of Range. Acknowledged the error and is currently working fine. It would be nice for an explanation on this. I wonder though if its not some sort of low voltage error of some sort.

“Error, Error Out of Range” This error was too quick for the controller to pick it up. Or it was an error that the controller didn’t understand.
