I am trying to find a grease to use on my Washworld Razor that I can purchase locally. The Razor book says to use jet lube part number 43959. I assume this is a washworld part number because I can't find a jet lube part number to match. Does anyone know what type of grease this is or a redily available substitute? My distributor doesn't carry the specified grease for this machine.

What kind of bearings is the grease going into? If they're mostly off-the-shelf type like pillow block bearings, you should be okay using the grease called for by those on the whole machine.

I think I’d call Washworld and get the Jetlube part number or call Jetlube http://www.jetlube.com/ at 1-800-538-5823 and ask them what they recommend. I've used Jetlube products and they are top of the line.

Trust me...from a guy w/ a new Razor that's hanging up EVERY COLD DAM MORNING, you need to use the grease that DiamondWash posted, from KR.
WW & Steve just helped us diagnose what it was. Our distributor used regular ol grease, which was fine while warm, but NOT FINE WHEN COLD!

Thats what I have them use on our new razor.even though my washworld rep don't do that when they do our monthly maintenance on our machine. there is a lot of unanswered questions on our new machine.

This info has been quite helpful, since we plan to put in a Razor next year using the same distributor as WaterGuy. I will now specifically ask that they use this grease; although it doesn't get as cold for as long here in South Texas, we still have our occaisional cold-spells and I don't want to experience more problems than need be. Thanx for this.

Does your WW distributor feel like he is obligated to do repair & or warranty work, trouble shoot etc, after install? Or no?
I have heard of some WW Distributors whom, after the install, their obligation is fulfilled. Unless you're a chems & supplies customer

I can't speak for anyone else, but we are a chems customer and also have a maintenance agreement with our WW distributor. They do a monthly PM (Preventative Maintenance) on our site; and I have instructed them to take a pro-active approach to our equipment maintenance -- changing out hoses, bearings, etc. when they appear worn. They tell us we're their highest-volume single bay IBA. So the Profile is heavily used and suffers alot of wear and tear. When other repairs are needed, we pay for parts only and not for travel and labor (unless it's a weekend, holiday, or after normal hours). For us, who are not really hands-on owners, it's worth it.
