APW don't be spooked about this. I have been doing this for many years with no failures. And I am not a big brawny guy. There are a couple of things to do first that make it somewhat easy, First make sure you have the right fitting for the hose, they come in one and two wire flavors. Next when hose is cut with a small grinder shave the outer edge to a 45 degree angle. Next with a "reamer" which is a small circular drum with cutting vanes, and then do the same thing to the inner part. When you screw on the collar, do NOT tighten it till it stops, just bring it near the top. Put a little Never Seize or grease on the insert and tighten it all the way
