Has anybody used a different nozzle set on a W.W Razor to get more impingement, it says on the website they use Veejet nozzles but all of my machines Razor & Profile came with IMEGS.

They would stick out further and scratch what ever they hit though.

That wash was 8 minutes, before the dryer! I don't understand the two presoaks with a HP pass sandwiched between them. Turbo nozzles are definitely impressive. I don't understand why more mfrs. don't use them. I don't understand the industry being so hung up on the stupid lava foam curtain. They only get the top surfaces covered, if they work right, and most of them don't come close. That one had a big gap right over the driver. I doubt that they impress any customers at all. Only car wash owners get chubbies over them. Inverted L washes are pretty much snoozers by design. That one was a bit better, just because of the nozzles.

PDQ used to make a G5, I think it was called. It was an inverted L like all of their machines, but it had turbo nozzles on it. Not sure if it is still in production or not. They had the nozzles recessed in the arm.

It looks impressive at the car wash shows. I have yet to see one in person that covers even the hood and windshield well.

On this topic, how often do you change the nozzles on the Razor? Mine are just over a year old now and was wondering if it was time to replace them.

Generally when water usage goes up and impact goes down, it is time to replace nozzles. The number of washes you get might vary depending on water pressure, water conditioning and chemicals.

And the tips themselves. Some are hardened and will last for many years without changing flow or pattern.

So, does anyone have a good idea on what tips to use, for more impingement?

Not MEG. They lose almost all of their impact about 6" away. Last time I ran an automatic I changed the factory MEG tips to veespray and saw an improvement in cleaning. I've never tried IMEG. General Pump makes nozzle kits for a lot of touchless autos.

More to nozzles than the brand name as most here will know. Spray width and gal/min will make a difference.

We are thinking about trying IMEGs on our razor with a narrow 15 spray and a higher gal/min number to see how that works. We changed our SS wands with a noticeable improvement that customers have mentioned to me (unsolicited).

We run them on our old Pro Equipment/Super Wash fixed oval. The pattern is very flat compared to other tips and is like a knife edge. They do seem to clean a little better but it is hard to tell for sure.

On a washworld razor you can't use turbo nozzles all round as the soap comes out of the wand so you will not get the coverage as its applied in low pressure. I did however fit one onto the very bottom nozzle just to get better wheel and front bumper bug cleaning. It made a positive difference!
Isn't that bottom nozzle too low?
