Do you even need that big of a pump? What exactly is it doing? Half the time I see that type of pump on an RO system it's severe overkill for what it realistically needs.

What is it doing though? Pumping water to the bays or making it? If making, how many membranes?

It’s pumping water to the bays.

Rather than use one huge pump for both, I would have used a separate pump for the auto and the SS. Would have been about $1500 for both.
